Murchison fires up for the Camp Oven Muster

The Murchison Camp Oven Muster, a weekend built on the simple things done well, is set to warm up the Murchison region this winter.

Kicking off at the Murchison Settlement from Friday, July 31 to Saturday, August 1, the event will feature a large range of activities, including camp oven cooking, live music, panel conversations and outback hospitality.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to get involved with botanical walks, arts and crafts, creative expression, plus time on the Rangelands.  The signature Long Table Dinner will be back, where diners get to share a camp oven meal under the open sky.

Aligning with the 2026 International Year of the Rangelands and Pastoralists, the muster will be celebrating the people who live, work and care for the region’s landscapes. Throughout the weekend, experiences will reflect this theme, offering insight into the land, culture and communities that have shaped Murchison for generations.

The Murchison Camp Oven Muster takes place at the Murchison Settlement from Friday, July 31, to Saturday, August 1, 2026. More information, head to murchison.wa.gov
