The Coolgardie Rodeo and Outback Festival returns this year, taking over the Old Coolgardie Golf Course from Friday, August 15, to Sunday, August 17.

The event features a rodeo, an outdoor cooking competition, a truck and ute muster, children’s entertainment, live music, helicopter rides and much more.

The Rodeo competition will run events in bull riding, barrel racing, and bareback bronc, while the WA Camp Oven and Slow Cook Championship will have participants compete in categories ranging from meat and three veg, stew or casserole, and ribs to sweets/cakes/puddings and traditional damper.

The main stage music line-up includes Albany powerhouse trio Cousin Brandon, coastal cowboy Dave Kent, and Perth’s award-winning Americana soul artist Shannon Smith.
