The Taste Great Southern festival is set to return across Albany, Denmark, Mount Barker, Porongurup, Frankland River and surrounding communities from Thursday, March 4, to Sunday, March 7, 2027.

Bringing the region’s acclaimed wines, premium produce and beautiful landscapes to centre stage, the four-day event will showcase an exciting range of culinary experiences from local businesses, producers, wineries, tourism operators and hospitality venues.

Returning in the 2027 program are Tides of Taste at Maitraya Private Retreat, a coastal feast celebrating land and sea featuring a new lineup of homegrown and visiting chefs; and the Taste Market at Middleton Beach with a family-friendly event showcasing local produce with local wine producers and chef pop-ups, sommelier-hosted masterclasses and more.

“Taste Great Southern has become one of Western Australia’s most distinctive regional food and wine festivals because it offers something truly authentic,” said Festival Director Erin Molloy. “It brings together world-class chefs, winemakers, producers and storytellers in a way that could only happen in the Great Southern.”
